The Audi Q7 won’t be the only Diesel in Audi’s line up for 2009. The Audi A4 should follow the Q7 later in the year, using the same 3.0L Diesel producing around 240 horsepower and 400 lb-ft. of torque. (more…)

With the 2008 Volkswagen Jetta TDi available, I can’t help but wonder if the VW 2.0 Diesel will become available in other VW/Audi cars and suvs that share it’s platform (Tiguan, Rabbit, Audi TT). The 2009 A3 will have some changes over the previous year. (more…)

Cadillac was the first American company to make a Diesel passenger car in 1979. Some people may still cringe at the prospect of owning a Diesel Cadillac. After the late 70’s, Cadillac had to recover from the very poor reliability of its Oldsmobile builtĀ “dieselized” version of their 5.7L V8 gas engine. (more…)
There is quiet a few diesel performance motorbikes being built by enthusiasts. The most advanced one is the The Star Twin ThunderStar 1200 TDi. It uses the engine from the Volkswagen Lupo, it’s putting out 100hp and 170 lb-ft of torque. Not bad for a Three Cylinder. It also gets a incredible 150mpg. This motorcycle was built in The Netherlands, by Star Twin Motors.

The C-Class Diesels are over in Europe for now, but they should be coming over soon (2009-2010). Mercedes will be having two Bluetec Diesels 50 state legal, at least one of them will find it’s way in the C-Class. (more…)

Chrysler is sneaking diesel versions of its popular mid-size luxury sedan across the Atlantic, without offering it here in the U.S. The 300C CRD uses one of the best diesel engines around, the Mercedes V6 found in the E320 Bluetec. (more…)
