Jeep and Diesels

If you take a look at jeeps line up you’ll notice that all of their vehicles they build are SUVs. You will also notice that none of them get over 29mpg, and most of them are around 19mpg combined city/hwy. They also removed the 30mpg Liberty CRD Diesel from the line up in 2007. Today if you want to get a Liberty you have to settle for the gas version that gets 16-22mpg. Jeep did add the Grand Cherokee CRD with a Mercedes-Benz Turbo Diesel V6 That gets 18-23mpg. Adding Diesels to the line up is a good move. As gas prices rise, SUV sales fall, and with all of Jeeps vehicles SUVs they should take Diesels more seriously. If people can still drive the SUVs they like without giving their paycheck to the gas station, Then they will keep buying jeeps. Let’s see some Diesels, Jeep! I know you can build me a 45mpg Wrangler.
