2010 Mercedes-Benz S300 Bluetec Hybrid

I’ve always been a fan of the “big body” Mercedes Benz cars. The first one I ever took a ride in was a 1986 300SD The first one I drove was a 1995 S320. They are so comfortable and well built, the only downside is finding a parking spot to fit them in. The S300 Hybrid will begin production in 2010, and get this, it will have a 2.2 four cylinder under the hood. Now your probably wondering how a 2.2 will pull around a monster S-Class Mercedes. Here is the answer: 413 lb-ft of torque. Yeah that’s some big time torque out of a 4 cylinder, it also puts out 200 horsepower. It should also get around 46mpg. It also has a electric motor to assist in city traffic to help maintain the best efficiency possible. The S300 hybrid will be a 50 state legal Bluetec. This is going to be one fine Diesel car.

    I have a 1981 300SD that gets 24 City and 32 Highway.

I am very interested in this model. Does it have the 4Matic?

I also believe that there will be an S400 Bluetec diesel Hybrid. Is there one coming soon?
