GM isn’t making a lot of changes to the full size pick-ups next year. One change is the new 4.5L Duramax being put in the Silverado/Sierra 1500. Which is going to be very cool, and should sell very well. This might not come out until later in 2009 and it might be considered a 2010. (more…)

After the energy crisis in 1973 and 1979, Manufactures responded by building and importing more fuel efficient cars. This included diesel powered cars to a large extent. With the 1980s oil glut, cheap fuel came back by the late 80’s. After that, most of the diesels sold in the U.S. disappeared. This article takes a brief look back at some of the diesel powered cars and trucks built to deal with the energy crisis. (more…)

This new Duramax will be under the hood of General Motors half ton Trucks SUVs. GM is hoping it produces around 310hp and 520 lb-ft of torque which puts it right up there with the baby Powerstroke in the 2009 F-150. (more…)

Ford has anounced a 4.4 liter Diesel for the 2009-2010 F150 and Possibly the expedition. Ford wants to be the first of the big three to get their 1/2 Ton Diesels on the Dealerships. (more…)
