The Yaris is another Diesel car we could be seeing in the future in the U.S. It’s a small compact with a 1.4L Diesel. With it’s light weight, aerodynamic body, and small diesel engine It gets some excellent efficacy. It gets up in the 60mpg range. 75 horsepower at the wheels and 125ft-lbs of torque, This car would be fine for most commuters in the states. I think the only turn off to a lot of people would be it’s small size. If they can sell a gas powered one in the states, then a Diesel version would be no problem.
