2008 Jetta TDI Bluetec
Volkswagen pulled all it’s Diesel cars except for the Tourag for 2007, They needed the time off to make a new engine that would pass stricter emissions. So the result was the new 2.0 TDI Bluetec Diesel. 140 horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque. This engine will be found in most of the small VW cars. The Jetta will be the first to be introduced and it will make it’s return in Fall 2008. Price range will be around 22-24k. It’s Basically the same MKV TDI Jetta we saw in 2005 but with a premium Bluetec Diesel engine that’s 50 state legal, and a reported 45 City, 60 Mpg highway. The 2006 Jetta TDI was at 30 mpg city, 38 highway. That’s a pretty big improvement.
